You'd like to play with your dog all day . . . but you have bills to pay.
And you’d like to find a doggie daycare provider that won’t just monitor your pups, but show them the same love and care that you do. At Woofers Pet Resort, your pets are members of our family. When they participate in Day Play they enjoy all-day play in both our indoor and outdoor play yards, plenty of friends to romp with, and an attentive staff that will keep them safe and feeling loved. When you pick them up, they’ll be tuckered out from a day of physical and mental stimulation, and ready to greet you with wagging tails.
Peace of mind for you.
All-day play for your dog.
1. A constant cycle of play and rest for your pup
It’s no surprise that dogs prefer socialization and play to being kenneled all day. They need to do what dogs do in nature: run and play with their furry friends, with rest breaks in between. Pups at Woofers enjoy indoor & outdoor playtime monitored by staff trained in dog behavior, with rest breaks scheduled to keep them from overexertion or overstimulation. You can get your to-do list done for the day with the knowledge that your dog is playing to their heart’s content and being looked after by staff who love them like you do.
2. The largest outdoor commercial doggie play yard in the Black Hills
Few things are as exciting for a dog as a huge outdoor field to play in. Our massive outdoor play yard is surrounded by a secure six-foot chain link fence and monitored by our staff. It’s the perfect spot for your pup to run and play. It’s filled with real grass and good times – and it’s waiting for your pup.
3. A climate-controlled indoor play yard like no other
On days when it’s too snowy or stormy to go outside, your dogs will join their furry buddies in our 1,100 square-foot indoor play yard. With heated floors, air conditioning, and nature-bright lighting, your dogs will feel like they’re at an exclusive resort.
Underfoot, they’ll play in a specially engineered turf called K9Grass. This state-of-the-art turf rests on a soft cushion of plastic risers which provide a safe, joint-friendly surface to play on. Pipes underneath the turf flush urine and water into an inline drain. There’s no rubber or sand infill, so the turf stays dry and urine-free – and it smells as great as it looks.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a typical day of Day Play look like?
Day Play is a continuous cycle of play and rest that focuses on much-needed play. For an hour or two, your dogs will play in a group (or groups) with other dogs. Then, they rest for a half-hour or so. That process continues throughout the daylight hours. We allow them to be outdoors throughout the year unless extreme weather arises. When your dog comes home, expect him or her to be happy – and tired, both mentally and physically. After arriving back home, your dog will probably drink quite a bit. Many dogs enjoy playing so much that they forget to drink water, even though we make fresh water available at all times to our four-footed guests. Do you organize different playgroups based on age, size, or energy level?
Playgroup organization depends on the dogs we are caring for. Generally, most dogs play in one group, but sometimes we organize a small group for older, small, or shy dogs.
Will my dog get dirty or muddy during day play?
Are all dogs at day care vaccinated?
Yes. Before booking, we confirm that all dogs planning to attend day care are up to date on Bordatella/Kennel Cough (within last six months), Distemper/Parvo, Rabies and flea/tick/lice prevention. Despite this, dogs in any group environment can transmit various diseases and parasites, but strong vaccination requirements reduce this risk.
Do you manage the behavior of the group?
Yes. One of the best benefits of our Day Play is our behaviorial supervision. Because our in-house trainer is highly experienced with behavioral issues, our groups are closely supervised to minimize the risk of disagreements, altercations, and injuries. They can and will happen, of course, but at Woofers they are rare because of how we actively manage the pack.
